Low frequency inverters have various protections and a strong ability to adapt to different environments. They are more reliable and have voltage regulation capabilities.
Pure sine wave output inverters provide power that is as good as the public power grid, if not better. They have a low repair rate, long lifespan, no harmonic pollution, and are environmentally friendly. Modified sine wave output, on the other hand, can negatively impact appliances and cannot load inductive loads such as air conditioners and refrigerators. Certain motor control circuits may not work well with modified sine wave inverters.

While not absolutely required, a power inverter is necessary if you want to have 220 or 230 volts AC and use normal AC appliances. Without a power inverter, you will solely rely on battery power, which may be acceptable in a small RV or cabin.
The voltage refers to the input voltage from the battery bank. Higher voltages result in lower currents, allowing for the use of smaller wires between the solar panel array and the battery bank. It's important to ensure that the solar panels, inverter, and battery bank all use the same voltage.
